DIY Mini Bouquet

February 14, 2017 Kirsten Nelson

Flowers are such a great gift -- so simple and everyone appreciates them. I put together a mini bouquet for Valentine's Day, but it would really work for any occasion.

To arrange your mini bouquet, start with the Sand Dollar Eucalyptus. Greenery add fullness to your bouquet and also is a nice way to break up the colors of the flowers. Next, add in your "filler" flowers -- the Acacia and Mardi Gras Aster. Filler flowers add fullness into the bouquet and by using draping flowers, such as Acacia, you can really make your arrangement more interesting. Lastly, add in your Lisianthus and Ranunculus. These are your "special" flowers and should be the focal point in the arrangement.

When you are adding in the flowers to your bouquet, be sure to stagger the heights of the flowers. Once you are done arranging the flowers, trim the ends of the stems so they are the same height and wrap a rubber band around the stems to keep your bouquet together. Lastly, wrap the flowers in paper or tissue paper. You can download the paper that I used at the bottom of the post.

The second trimester was definitely the honeymoon phase of my pregnancy -- I had tons of energy, minimal swelling, and felt all of those baby kicks. Here are some of the essentials that helped me thrive in the second trimester.
The first trimester can be a really intimidating time depending on how your body is handling being pregnant. Here are some of my first trimester favorites from when I was pregnant with Dylan.
Dylan's great-grammy Doris is turning 90 this month. I dressed Dylan up as an old lady and took a bunch of photos, hoping that one would be good enough to make a card out of.
